We have powerful software which we can set to tweak colour and tone with the knowledge that this will capture the art works details and colour accurately. Scanning is more automated which makes things a little easier, especially as we have our scanner calibrated and we are experienced in how it will output/represent colour. To scan or photograph art works is a bit of a judgement call. We can take an A3 original to over A0 print size at print resolutions of 300 dpi and much larger where resolutions can be lowered (such as theatre sets). This can also be very effective for Theatre set production, Audio Visual Presentations and full wallpapered interior designs. We can also scan at extremely high resolutions to produce enlargements. We can scan to A2 and sometimes larger with some skilled and invisible stitching of images. We ship prints and original artwork worldwide, and artists from all over the United States send us artwork for scanning and printing.We use a professional Epson 1200 xl flatbed scanner ( optical density of 3.8 DMax and 48-bit colour depth) with Silverfast Ai 8 studio software and calibration targets to deliver excellent results in colour accuracy, tone and resolution.
